UN Body, International Human Rights commission Appoints UNESCO Laureate, Professor Sir Bashiru Aremu As a Int’l Commissioner and Member Of Board Of Trustees

UNESCO Laureate, Professor Sir Bashiru Aremu has been appointed as Member, Board of Trustees by a United Nations body, International Human Rights Commission (IHRC), Geneva, Switzerland Nigeria Committee.

The media learnt this today in a letter from IHRC Coordinator/Special Envoy, Nigeria, HE, Ambassador Pst Amadi Darlington .C., which was made available to some group of Journalists by UNESCO Laureate, and Crown University International VC, Professor Sir Bashiru Aremu, he stated that the Nigeria IHRC secured the approval of the International Executive Committee during the July 29, 2019.

IHRC Nigeria letter to Professor Sir Bashiru Aremu reads in parts: “IHRC Nigeria has obtained approval to nominate you to serve as Member, Board of Trustees, IHRC Commissioner, Geneva, Switzerland Nigeria Committee. Further mandate the Special envoy for Nigeria to appoint you as a Nigerian, assessed and found suitable as a human rights defender and Philanthropist for the nomination”.

“The declaration rallied on the conventions and resolutions honouring eminent Nigerians whose thrusts of footprints had been noted for support of the universal declaration of human rights by the United Nations. Mindful of this, and in consideration of your numerous antecedents for God and humanity”.

“The African Region Headquarters Sectetary General, HE, Dr. Tivlumun Innocent Ahure has promptly accent-in-line with the congress for you to be nominated as worthy of this International status accorded to World leaders”.

“We would appreciate if this nomination is accepted by you and and a written acknowledgement sent to us as we renew assurances of our highest regards and wait to hear from you”.
