Chiedu Ebie’s nomination as the Chairman of Niger-Delta Development Commission (NDDC) while applauding President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the appointment of the Ika worthy Son, as he urges Senate to confirm Chiedu Ebie whom he described as a seasoned, intelligent legal practitioner, technocrat, well experienced human resource manager and grassroots politician.
The Convener/Administrative Director Ika People Worldwide Association, IPWA, Hon. (Chief) Ika Etumuse made this remark today being on Thursday, September 28, 2023 in a telephone conversation with the Daily Independent correspondent, during which he frowned at those leaders sponsoring media protests against Ebie’s nomination as he urged them to desist from such uncivilized social act of mischief.
When asked to express his concern on the present protests by some disgruntled elements in the Niger-Delta region against Ebie’s nomination as NDDC Chairman, he said: “I make bold to say that those protesting against Ebie’s nomination as NDDC Chairman are probably begging for Stomach Infrastructure”.
According to Hon. (Chief) Ika Etumuse, Barr. Chiedu Ebie is over qualified for the NDDC top job. Barr Chiedu Ebie is a tested and proven grassroots political leader with track records of accountability, transparency, probity and ready to fulfill the mission and vision establishing the Commission. He will foster and boost development in the Niger-Delta communities as soon as he is confirmed by the Senate given the fact that he had served as Commissioner for Basic and secondary education in Delta state as well as Secretary to Delta state Government to mention but a few of his past positions and achievements.
