UNESCO laureate and Vice-Chancellor, Crown University, USA, Prof. Sir Bashiru Aremu, has Commended the Management and Staff of Glocal University, India on the for organising the forthcoming February 28-29, 2024 International Conference on the topic “Modern Mathematics In The Progressing World: Connecting Disciplines & Advancing Technology” to proffer practical solutions to numerous global problems or challenges.

Prof Aremu noted that, world Mathematicians, Statisticians, and Scientists will unite to look into the future so as to provide opportunities through the use of recent discoveries, development in Mathematics as well as towards building a formidable team and accelerate action on the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In a statement by VC CUICI, USA today being on Saturday, November 18, 2023 which was made available to some group of Journalists in Asaba, Delta State capital by UNESCO Laureate’s Executive Assistant On Media, Publicity and Communication Matters, Sir Bieni Victor Emenike as Prof Sir Bashiru Aremu commended Archimedes notable discoveries as father of modern Mathematics.

According to UNESCO Laureate, Glocal University, India set out specific objectives by putting up this conference is highly commended as development will enable modern mathematicians to embark on research to know what data are needed to answer some specific questions regarding global problems and use mathematical theories, techniques to solve practical problems in business, Engineering, Sciences and other fields to take actions that advance societal goals and implementation of SDGs.

He added that Glocal University, India knows the importance of Mathematics: algebra, number, theory, geometry and arithmetic towards the promotion of contemporary research, thinking and learning. He noted that it is modern and not traditional because it has no one way of solving problems, rather multidisciplinary, with multi-dimensions, not only fundamental, but use of structures whose interactions have patterns, different patterns in line with different geometric properties, figures, functions, and formulas and methods of performing task and solving practical problems.

The essence of the insightful program which UNESCO Laureate,Prof Sir Bashiru Aremu is invited as Special Guest of Honor and Key Note Speaker as event is scheduled to hold on 28-29 February, 2024 to explore how morden mathematics can help to advance technology globally for the benefits of mankind and United Nations SDGs’ domestication.

CUICI VC while expressing optimism over the development on his invitation and how the future success of the forthcoming International conference to held next year by Glocal University in collaboration with other global educational stakeholders and Universities worldwide, UNESCO Laureate then urged Mathematicians, stakeholders to explore the benefits of Modern Mathematics towards providing practical solutions to societal problems.
