He is of the lineage of a popular Kingmaker called: “ISA LOLA” in Iwo City, Osun State, Nigeria According to Iwo history: Culture, migration and settlement, one of the foremost UNESCO Laureate’s forefathers, “Isa Lola” is the founder of “New Olokoobi Compound” in Iwo, Osun State, Nigeria. ISA LOLA while in his mother’s womb, in line with Ifa’s (Great Oracle’s) directives on the incoming baby, the mother having consulted the Great Oracle as ISA LOLA’s mother was greatly worried during her pregnancy period.

The consultation of the Ifa Oracle is in line with their beliefs. Yoruba and Ifa Oracle told the High Chief Ohuto of Iwo Land that the incoming Baby boy is a Muslim by divine intervention from God Almighty and that the only solution is that his wife the mother of Isa Lola have to continue drinking the remaining water of Ablution from the Mosque so that all of her worries and problem will stop.

The directives from IFA, Great Oracle continued that, if she, the mother can do so and follow the Oracle’s Instructions and the problem discontinued, that she will she deliver a baby boy. The named of the new baby boy will be called “Isa Lola”. He grew up and was sent to Arabic school at Ile Imale compound in Iwo Land, Osun State, Nigeria.

After that, Isa Lola discovered that he cannot continue with his parents’ traditional religion again because he was a practical Muslim. So he asked his father to establish his own compound which the father granted. The father made a request from Oluwo of Iwo Land then. He was given another big land for his son to occupy which was full of Kola nut trees farms; means “Obi” in Yoruba language and they named the new compound as “Olokoobi Compound” which mean “The owner of Kola nut Tree Farms compound” as extension of Ohuto Compound of High Chief Ohuto one of the Kingmakers of Iwo Land in Osun State, Nigeria.

So UNESCO Laureate and HRH Duke Prof Sir Bashiru Aremu is a direct descendant of Isa Lola the founder of Olokoobi compound, Iwo Land in Osun State, Nigeria.

BRIEF HISTORY OF IWO LAND, OSUN STATE, NIGERIA.

H.E UNESCO Laureate and HRH Duke of Kingdom of Atlantis in Singapore Prof Sir Bashiru Aremu is from the Iwo city. His paternal of Olokoobi compound and maternal ancestry of Asape Compound in history as a Kingmakers in IWO LAND, OSUN STATE, NIGERIA is undisputable.

Iwo is a city in Osun State, Nigeria. The Iwo people, like all other people of the Yoruba kingdom, are said to have originated from Ile-Ife, where they migrated sometimes in the 11th century according to Alademomi kenyon and Prince Adelegan Adegbola (2009)

According to the version as presented by UNESCO Laureate on the origin of Iwo Land, he stated that IWO LAND in Osun State, Nigeria started from Ile –Ife. He said: “IWO City, Osun State, Nigeria, the person that Iwo originated from was Ooni Luwo Gbagida, the 16th Ooni of Ile-Ife. In those days, she was a brave woman that born Telu Adekola that established Iwo Land. The main reason that made him establish Iwo Kingdom was that anytime he saw his mother wear Crown, he was always crying”.

“But whenever the crown was placed on his head, he stops crying, The (King) Ooni Luwo Gbagida. For this reason, she then consulted the Oracle the reason why that her son was crying, and she was told that there are two ways open for her, It is either leaves the throne for her son or give the crown to her son to go found his own town. You know she wouldn’t like to leave the throne for her son, so she gave the crown to the son to go and established his own town”.

“Before the son left the mother, he consulted the oracle and the oracle told them that anywhere they see animal that speak like human being is their promised land to established and there is no any animal that speak like human being than parrot so the only predicted land with the symbol of the parrots (which signifies the location of the promised land) is the Iwo kingdom”.

He also hearkened to the oracle warning and left Ile-Ife, the first place that he stayed called ‘Ogundigbaro’, the town is between Odo Oba River and Osun River where the both met, But whenever it is raining season, they do not usually enjoy the place and they were usually disturbed by water and that is how they left the place for Erumu. That was the first place they went, but when they got there, but there was no peace at all. It was that time they waged war against the enemies and that was how they returned and they now came to Igboorita.”

They had not gotten to their destination by then and they now agreed to wait somewhere, its was there they stayed really too long , when they were there the people that followed Telu Adekola were usually hunters, hunting all about. In one of their hunting, he saw those parrots hatching on one big tree. The tree is called Ose tree in Yoruba language. it was there they hatched. That was how they came to meet them where they were seated . He summoned them to *let them go and see and have a view *( Ejeka lo woo in “Yoruba language”)* and that was where “Iwo” came from , Let us go and see it , Although I have seen the place but let us go and see it. That was how Iwo Started”.

Among of those places they discovered parrots are: Oluwo Palace,Jankara market,Ile Ajigbagun compound and some other places within Iwo City

“The city was formerly part of old Oyo state and was later separated and became one of the major townships in Osun State, Nigeria which is more than five hundred compounds within Iwo city only and apart from others Iwo land”.
