In continuation of the campaigns ahead of the July 13th, 2024 Delta local government elections, the PDP campaign team has visited Ekpan Ward 9 and 10 to shore up support for the party candidates.

Addressing the gathering, Sir Edwin Ogidi-Gbegbaje (KSM ) Chairman Delta State Bureau for Pensions said that the ward is united to work for the victory of the party adding, “We have resolved in the ward to ensure that our party the PDP, the largest party in Africa, wins convincingly in the election”.

Ogidi-Gbegbaje who is from Ekpan ward 9 was excited at the presence of the campaign team stating, “I commend the team for being steadfast in the campaigns so far and I am convinced that all the wards in Uvwie are feeling the impact positively”, he noted.

Earlier in his welcome address, the ward 9 PDP Chairman Mr. famous Esadjere assured the team that members of the ward is fully on ground and ready to deliver victory for the party’s candidates.

He said “I want to assure you that our ward is ready for the election. Our support for the candidates is total. We are going to work for their victory,” he assured.

The DG of the campaign team Chief Edmond Ofudje in his remarks said “The team is working very hard to ensure victory for the party. Our focus is to win the hearts of more electorates through campaigns to ensure that the PDP canddidates are elected” the DG disclosed.

Elder Efe Okoledo, Chairman of Uvwie PDP in his speech described ward 9 as the land of meek and honey. He disclosed that the revenue base of Uvwie is largely from the ward adding, “Let us all harness this fact to join hands in unison to deliver victory for the party. It is important that the PDP candidates from this ward are elected”, he said.

On his part, Chief Anthony Onoriode Ofoni JP, PDP candidate for Uvwie while presenting himself and his Vice Andrew Agagbo to ward 9, assured that “Uvwie will be better off when he and his Vice wins. I want to thank you all for your support and urge you to translate that support to votes on the 13th of July”, he emphasized.

Highlights of the Campaign team visit to ward 9 was the endorsement of the PDP candidates by party leaders and community elders. The presentation of the party flag was done by the PDP Chairman Elder Efe Okoledo to the two PDP Councillorship candidates, Hon Wealth Gbegbaje and Abraham Awana.

At ward 10 campaign visit, the Campaign Team was treated to a rousy welcome. Various groups danced to the admiration of all to show their support for the party. Party leaders who spoke at different times expressed confidence in their resolve to work together for the victory of the party.

The ward 10 event highlighted with the presentation of the party flag to the two PDP candidates Steven Onakorame and Hon Precious Enawore. The PDP candidates thereafter led by Chief Anthony Ofoni JP, received endorsement and prayers from the community elders.

Both events which was well attended held at Niger Cat in Ekpan Primary Healthcare Center ward 9 and Ekpan Town Hall ward 10, witnessed the presence of party leaders and executives, amongst whom are Sonny Ekedayen HC Budget and Economic Planning Delta State, the Political Submarine Hon Evelyn Oboro former MHR, Sir Edwin Ogidi-Gbegbaje (KSM) Chairman Bureau for Pensions Delta State, Elder Efe Okoledo PDP Chairman Uvwie, Chief Edmond Ofudje DG PDP Campaign Team Uvwie, Sir Bright Edejewrho former Commissioner, Matthew Tsekiri former Commisioner, PDP candidates Chief Anthony Ofoni JP and his Vice Andrew Agagbo. Others include Chief Newyear Efe, former Vice Chairman Uvwie LG, Coucillorship candidates Wealth Gbegbaje and Abraham Awana ward 9, Hon Precious Enawore and Steven Onakorame ward 10, Women and Youth leaders, representatives of various groups, Arewa Community leaders and party faithfuls.
