As part of efforts towards promoting quality education with sports excellence, enhancing youth development, empowerment of future generations, Most Distinguished Nigerian Senator, Prince Barr Dr Ned Munir Nwoko, Founder of Sports University of Nigeria (SUN), Idumuje- Ugboko, Delta State, has said that, he is fully committed towards positioning the higher institution as a centre of excellence in sports business and academics to attract aspiring or prospective students in Nigeria, Africa and globally shaping Nigeria’s future champions.
Our reporter learnt this penultimate weekend from Sen. Ned Munir Nwoko as he recently embarked on inspection tour of Sports University of Nigeria (SUN), Idumuje- Ugboko, Delta State, Nigeria to assess the remarkable progress made by the Institution since its establishment and approval by Nigeria Universities Commission (NUC).
You could recall that Sports University of Nigeria (SUN), Idumuje- Ugboko, Delta State, Nigeria is historically recorded as the first Sports University in Nigeria and sub-sahara Africa. While fielding questions from some group of Journalists during the inspection tour to assess the remarkable progress made so far by the Institution since inception, the founder of SUN, Idumuje- Ugboko, Delta State, Nigeria, Most Distinguished Nigerian Senator, Prince Barr Dr Ned Munir Nwoko stated that, the goal of the higher institution is to position as a centre of excellence in sports, business and academics and to shape Nigeria’s future champions as well as serve as empowerment for future generations.
In his words: “The essence of today’s visit to Sports University of Nigeria (SUN), Idumuje-Ugboko, for an inspection tour is to assess its remarkable progress”.
