The new leadership of Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Delta has familiarized with the newly posted Resident Electoral Commissioner, INEC Delta State, Mr Etekamba Udo Umorem.

Prince Henry Eze, Delta IPAC Chairman alongside his entire Executives paid courtesy call to the Resident Electoral Commissioner, INEC earlier this week on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 while seeking for cooperation of the management of INEC Delta State as party leaders, critical stakeholders in the State towards the promotion of political stability.

Recall that recently a new IPAC leadership emerged after a tough contest that took place at INEC office, Asaba in which the Chairman of Allied People’s Movement (APM) was elected as Chairman of IPAC Delta State.

Eze while introducing his new Executives to the Delta REC, Mr. Etekamba Udo Umorem stated that they are partners in progress with the Independent National Electoral Commission as party leaders and critical stakeholders in the State and will continue to work with the Commission towards promoting credible elections and political stability in Delta State.

IPAC Boss maintained that without Political Parties there will be no INEC and without INEC, there will be no Political Parties, except a case of independent candidate, which is not yet in place. He said: “You have shown commitment to our course. You have recorded many achievements as newly posted Delta REC, INEC. We need more cooperation from your Commission. We restate commitment towards working with INEC so as to maintain political stability in Delta State as well working with the Commission to achieve its mission and vision statement”.

Responding to Delta IPAC Leadership, Mr. Etekamba Udo Umorem congratulated the new Executives of IPAC in Delta State on their emergence while he promised to work with them not only as party leaders, but as critical stakeholders in the State. He then commended the roles played by IPAC in stabilizing the polity in the country.

Mr. Etekamba Udo Umorem who welcomed the new Executives alongside the Senior Delta INEC management hailed the current support being enjoyed from Deltans, critical stakeholders.He however commended the state government for the development so far in the State. The REC further noted that he is pleased with the free, fair and peaceful conducts of the recent Delta IPAC election while urging the leadership to promote all inclusiveness laced with spirit of brotherhood and sportsmanship. Also, that the Leadership should see the INEC office as their own by ensuring that issues or matters of urgent importance should be discussed, ironed in-house as partners in progress as the Commission will continue to work with every political parties for progress and development.

The grand finale of the visit was a vote of thanks by Deputy Chairman of IPAC, Comrade Simon Ebewore as he commended the Delta REC, INEC for the opportunity given to them to visit his office despite his busy schedules while stating that IPAC will continue to work with INEC as partners in progress.
